The Lubbock Community Theatre is thrilled to present A Tuna Christmas.  In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it’s Christmas in Tuna, Texas (the third-smallest town in Texas).

Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including the hot competition in the annual lawn-display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of A Christmas Carol is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun.

A Tuna Christmas is a total delight for all seasons, whether performed by two quick-changing comedians as it was on Broadway, or by twenty or more. Audiences who have and who have not seen Greater Tuna will enjoy this laugh-filled evening.

The Lubbock Community Theatre production of A Tuna Christmas will be presented with a full cast (ages 18-up).  The production will be directed by Jay C. Brown.

Auditions will be Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 at 2:00 at the Lubbock Community Theatre at 4230 Boston.  Auditions will be readings from the script.

Production dates are Thursday-Sunday, December 6-9 and 13-16 at the Lubbock Community Theatre at 4230 Boston Avenue.  Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors/ students. There will be a student rush ticket available.
